Just a few helpful tips when considering "religion" for those not familiar with the emerging church phenomenon, which is sweeping the globe like crazy. Churches like these have now become some of the largest buyers of theatrical lighting and sound equipment in the U.S. because of how their services (called worship and message) are conducted. Lots of rock 'n roll, singing, and everybody rolls in wearing very casual clothing. They're anti-religion, anti-legalism, and very much Bible-based.
They don't use overtly religious imagery as we've come to think of it. They use conceptual images of growth, meditation, celebration, maturation, a lot of those puzzle pieces, isolation from others, loneliness, helping hands, and other things like that. Fellowship concepts are big, and they use a LOT of grunge and motion graphics. Actually, images of booze, money, and women are used quite often.
For a small idea of how these churches function, you can check out Catalyst Convention. It's a conference for leaders.
