New assignment: Help

There are many ordinary people acting to make an extraordinary difference around us all the time. They may not always change the world but they do change someone's world by simply helping the others. Such actions should never go unnoticed so the new “Help” assignment is your chance to bring them up front.

Acts of good will are never great or small, doing anything good is always admirable. “Nobody can do everything, but everyone can do something”. It can be a neighbor stepping to carry a heavy shopping bag, a passer-by helping someone up after a fall on an icy road or assisting an old lady to cross the street, a friend bringing you soup when you're sick, a mother helping her child tie the shoelaces, a stranger pushing your broken car. Help can be both material and moral so tiny gestures such as an effortless smile or offering a shoulder to cry on can be lifesaving. Many heroic deeds pass unknown so don't forget those whose profession is helping the others: teachers, doctors, firefighters, therapists. While the rest of us may be occasional Samaritans, these people act to help, save, assist, comfort the others every day. We might think helping each other is limited to humans but we've often witnessed or heard of animals helping and even rescuing people. Not to mention the hundreds of times some of us climbed trees to get the next door lady's cat down.

The winners will surely find happiness and moral satisfaction from having helped immortalize a helping hand, but they will also receive some material help to continue helping themselves and/or others: $300 (first place), $200 (second place) and $100 (third place). As usual, we'll send the winners some very handy Dreamstime T-shirts which can help them out of any wardrobe troubles.

Good luck!

I love when I can communicate with my illustrations saying something useful to people. And I hope buyers will use the GOOD images of this assignment to spread the message.

This is the best and most meaningful assignment ever.

I hope it will serve as "the butterfly effect" and help make the world a better place.

Good luck to all who plan to be a part of it!

oh nuts! I submitted one and accidently made it a regular file...so I had to delete it and reupload it for the contest...I have to wait that much more time before it's accepted (if it's accepted...!).
