Sales that occur on our own site award the royalties from the sale price. Some of these partnerships will award the regular 25-60% royalties to the contributor from the agency's share, while other alliances will still award them based on the sale price"

with other words what does it mean?

This means that for some partner sales, the royalties may be a bit smaller than the royalties received for direct sales made on the site. Some partners send their customers on our end while others sell our images directly on their platform.

Can somebody tell if it is good to chech the box in the "Alliances and Partnerships"? Are the sales better then? I am thinking about to became full exclusive member as soon as possible. So if I want to earn more maybe I should submit it...? What is your opinion...?

If you do not check it, you will be unable to sell through those channels.
You earning may be lower when selling throught them, but my opinion about it is a sale is a sale, I would not get the particular sale at a lower earning if I wasnt selling through those channels too: better lower than none. I'm exclusive and I have that option cheked.

I also dont understand why somebody would not want to have their images on this partnerships. Better 1 sale for 0.50 cents then 0 sales for nothing :).

I also agree in selling through these channels, but how do I know if a picture was sold by them? to me it does not appear that is specified. And who are these partnerships? you know their names?

Good point indeed. I also only know that there are partnerships but i also start to get curious how we can indentify a sale from them.

I have photos on another site where they specify when the sale is made by a dealer

Businesswise, we can't provide a full list of partners, but you can identify the resellers by the Dreamstime logo displayed somewhere on their homepage.

By default, all portfolios are enrolled in the program, you can check by visiting the Alliances section of your Management Area.

The partner sales are not marked, again it's a strategic decision, but we do test regularly to ensure that all sales are reported.

If you fell like you need to verify a dealer's honesty in reporting sales, you can simply buy one of your photos from their site and see if it's appearing in your Earnings (keep in mind that sometimes it takes a while until a sale appears in that section).

In order to accumulate you have to speculate! or else you stand still, Status-quo, nothing. This I have learnt during over 20 years of any stock-photography and commercial freelance day.rate photography.

There is NOTHING to lose in Alliences and partnerprograms, just gain if things goes right and if not? well then nothing is lost anyway.

A few people creates fuzz over absolutely nothing and in my experience, these are the people with the least to lose.

Heck!! people steel images left, right and center anyway. If one is worried about free images? this is the wrong business! then they should try the Petticoat-Lane market in London instead.

DT, is just about the only fair agency left, at least in the micro business. Think about that!
