Wondering how to fit more than 100 textures

hi there,

Guess what, i have a new tenant at our industrial estate(my family leases out owned properties) and i decided to pay a visit, guess what the outcome was with a camera in hand: I have around 100+ wood textures now....

i have cropped all individuals and decided that 8MP is a good chip for each individual texture (4000X2000)

i am still wondering how to submit those, in full resolution colleges of 8 in each file submission or in half resolution at 4MP each as 16 per file submission, or any other approach?

all are different natural woods from different parts of the world...

maybe the people experienced with collage submissions can leave me tips here please.

i am curious because i don't know if i can get really good sales, can i somehow combine them in say 2 or 3 files only? is such a resolution acceptable and possible?

help from anyone will be appreciated, especially dreamstime admins...

Individual textures are valuable as long as their description is specific - in your case for example: cherry wood texture, nut tree wood texture, pine tree texture, etc. If you plan to add a generic description for each, you better forget it, they won't pass review.
Also, considering the very large number of such texture present in our database, I would also suggest including more images in the same file. Grouping them by similarity factors (you can put a pine tree next to a fir tree, but not a cherry tree next to a bamboo texture) , will increase their sell potential.
However, these are only suggestions, they will not guarantee that your images will be accepted. Their technical quality should also be considered, and the final decision belongs to the editor who will review these images.

i hear you speak, and quiet right, i am planning to club the texture of same types in different sets, i am wondering what the maximum size allowed for any given file size is, say i could put 48 textures in 1 file somehow after downsizing to 3000X1500, but that will make it a huge file, did not find in the resources or faq what the max is though

i know wood is in abundance, atleast at DT if not in real world :-) but i am hoping that a lot of textures in a collection may be accepted

any help on you telling me what the max MP or MB i could up to will be of great help

Largest size possible is usually best.

Submit one image and see what happens. One rejection is better than ten.

Or why not consider using collage template as those available for Adobe Lightroom or in Photoshop, make collage of say 9 or 16 smaller images, and leave a comment in the description, that if a buyer wants any of the image in large resolution, you can provide it.
