yes yes I hear you! and love it! my best story is a man who was a pro photographer went to a dinner party and passed around a few of his photos to which the hostess replied wow! what great photos! you must have a wonderful camera! the photographer, a bit ticked, waited till the end of the evening before going up to say good bye to the hostess and told her " that was an excellent dinner! you must have wonderful pots!"
I have always remembered this story because you are right.. why do we always have to defend our art as art even? I am a fine art artist working in oils acrylic and pastels, and I am a photographer. and in most of my art guilds they STILL do not accept photography as 'fine art'. ahh well.. what I learned? you cant please everyone all of the time.. and you cant fix stupid!
#1 I went and "liked"
#2 I didn't realize there was a male clone of me right here..........
Really, I laughed my way through the whole thing. In particular ..reviewers. One of the top agencies that discards almost everything, accepts an image, sells it in the same day and also the same day it is refused by the agency that takes EVERYTHING for "technical difficulties". Go figure.
It is so hard for me not to take the sales listing and email to the other site (but I don't ...I snicker to myself and say "Your loss".)
Lastly, thank God I'm already married. My son's upcoming wedding is going to be hard enough...I totally would have gone through all the photos and "upgraded" them before posting as well. (I admit, when offered to edit the engagement shoot photos...I did.)
