We're excited to introduce a brand new section on our site, the Cameras:

Smile, the Camera Section is ON!

Once you access the page, there are several filters relating to the camera brand, model or type of lens. We have also started adding images to each camera brand based on their EXIF info. We're working to add all images to their appropriate category but it may take weeks for the camera search filter to cover the entire database and be fully functional. Please be patient if you can't find your favorite lense yet.

This section is designed both as useful resource and new search filter. In this sense, we offer designers a searchable tool that allows them to find images based on specific camera info. It is also a research tool that gives them more insights into how certain cameras produce distinct looks and feel.

The 'Cameras' section is also aimed at photographers who can now see the different camera models most frequently used in stock photography. They can review and compare the images produced by cameras and can then make an informed purchase decision based on price level and technological features.

Enjoy the new feature and as always, your feedback is always welcome. The whole world fits into your camera!

Sounds cool, I will have to check it out. Thanks! :)

It does seem interesting. I too will have to check it out. Maybe I missed them, but I could not find my Nikon D800 in the list, or my 70-200mm, f4. Did I just miss them or will they be added?
Currently my primary cameras are a Fuji X-Pro2 and a Fuji X-T2.

So where is the Nikon D800 in the list? Or de D800E for that matter?

Almost half of my portfolio is on the first page on best selling images shot with Canon 550D. That's nice :)

Buyers want this?

Either way, as someone said, the Nikon D800 is missing. D300 is also missing. Nikon D100 is listed twice. And when I search for D100, 29 images total come up.

Note sure what the real purpose of this is.....will continue to check it out....D7000 is also missing. I hope this does not turn out to be another which camera is best instead of just great images.

This goes for your favorite camera too. Almost all images available already are from our very first years, way before D300, 800 or D7000 were released. Be patient, they will show up.
See it as a brief microstock history for cameras. We begun with the oldest images and a good side effect is that the popular images will be refreshed while we add content and everyone will be given a chance for exposure.

hmmm..... interesting idea

will have to do better job in remembering to delete exifs for my photo manipulations though,
otherwise people will wonder, how did I manage to take pictures like this with my camera ... :)

Perhaps I'm missing the point here, but surely designers are more interested in the actual image rather than the camera it was taken on?

I don't think I know any designers who would be that bothered about the type of camera used by a photographer that the designer would search for an image using the camera type as a criterion...... it's possible that this will appeal more to photographers who are buying new cameras than designers buying images.

I am with Melonstone and Wisconsinart on that, I dont see why buyers will look for a specific camera model, sorry, DT resources would be better spent in new features for the buyers IMHO.

I think a tablet and a smartphone app, for instance, would be more important at this moment.

Hmmm not sure about this, I think I would prefer time spent on setting up area for video. Buyers let's hear what you have to say.

I appreciate every single step. But as asked by others; I would like to know

What is the advantage of this new feature?

As Afagundes mentioned, an iPhone/Android application would be great. I would pay for such an application from the appstore or android market.

Let's wait and see what the new feature will bring us...

is it normal that "lens" selection menu disappears when I go in
Cameras >> Canon >> 50D?

I would like to go in the 50D and then select a specific lens.

Is it also in your plan to add an option to compare lenses. I means see what lens is producing more images/sells than the other?

This new feature will be very useful for sites like photozone or dtpreview... hence the extra publicity if they will mention the source of the information.

For me that's funny. Lot of options that are ACTUALLY needed by everybody do not work.

It's almost impossible to delete file from queue - 6-7 attempts are needed to remove the image.

'Keywording check' works only if one pushes the button near "keywords" or "description" several times (up tp 10 on my experience).

Figures in "Statistics", "My earnings" and profile differ drastically from each other.

It's impossible novadays to edit titles. Which is EXTREMELY important for contributors.

E-mails to admins can be answered and can be NOT answered,

And so on, and so on...

It has been continuing for months and years and lot of messages are posted by contributors concerning all these things. "We kindly ask DT to fix these glitches...". No answer.

Nobody cares. Instead, new game to play has been inventioned (at last! We all have been waiting for ages!): classification by cameras and lenses. Madonna Santa! Nobody needs it. But it is funny and helps to kill ones time (or, more precisely, the rest of time that by an incredible miracle has survived after struggle with the site glitches). We all should 'smile'.

So, let's smile, people. What to do?

I expect classification by hair color of photographers following next. It's such important for both contributors and buyers - you just can't imagine... We all will just have to smile as wide as only we are able. And also will have to be excited by introducing new VERY exciting DT feature. Trust me and be ready :)

Now that you asked Igor :)) what will your category be in that classification? Your hair is cut to the skin :))

Just joking :) yes there are some glitches but this is a huge organism. I'm here for 2,5 years and I reported many of them. A system working today, can crash tomorrow. Just like a kidney. Admins generally tend to fix, because, you know, we all are on the same ship. I always say and think that they have a plan. I agree that sometimes they don't listen to our simple "I want"s, but how can you keep thousands of people happy. Remember the Pinterest crisis :)) 2 (or more) members didn't wanted the pinit button but rest of the contributors were happy with it. I mean one thing ridicolous for you, is good for another one.

I want an assignment for buyers or designers, I think it will magnetize some new customers here, but they don't even answer me :)) we ask for a smartphone application, but we don't get it. Who knows why! Maybe it is not that helpful for sales..
