Hi fellow photogs!

The name's Charly, am a mature woman, photography is my chosen 2nd career and I recently joined DT. Being busy with taking a couple of classes at university (Photography I - B&W 35mm film; shoot, develop and print/Digital Imaging I - learning PS; use Lightroom mainly), I haven't had the time to look very much over. But noticed this thread to introduce myself and let ya know I welcome all advise, critiques too! Prefer honesty, nothing held back; I don't take offense, want to learn and don't get discouraged/disheartened or take anything said personally. ;)

Thought I'd try out stock photography, which I find a challenge as I mainly want to shoot for Fine Art/Travel and still fairly new in general. Yet I have a passion that keeps my cameras by my side 99% of the time and look forward to improving my new found craft. Thanks in advance for your time!

Welcome to DT Charly! I hope you have great success here. It is very hard to break into stock photography and sell so you are off to a great start. Just keep up your good work and you should do well here. Do not get discouraged, just keep shooting and uploading. You do have the right idea...Cameras by your side 99%... and a classes to learn .... a great combination from my point of view! Good Luck!

Welcome here! You are doing very well...
Just continue that way! Just checked some of your pics and saw that with the picture of the Giraffe the latin name is missing -> Giraffa camelopardalis. It is always good to include the latin names in the description and to use them with the keywords as well.
Wish you much joy and success here!

Thanks y'all for the warm welcome and kind words! Might someone be so kind is to tell me where to find DT news to keep up with that Surerry spoke of?

Dieniti, I thought I had put in the latin terms, but must have got busy and forgot. Is there a way to change keywords to at least add them? I see that the description cannot be changed so should I put them in the Title?

Keywords are something I hate and struggle with. I've read numerous articles/blogs on them and seem to get conflicting advise; like use a lot, don't use a lot, include every detail, don't do that. lol Very confusing! So not sure what I should do, but perhaps this isn't the place to ask all these questions. If not my apologies!

Just click on the Dreamstime Logo/Name in upper left corner and it will take you to main page where you will find news and annoucements.

You can go back and change keywords or add keywords at anytime.

Hope this helps.

Greetings Charly, you have a wonderful start to your portfolio. As I am quiet new here also, I find keywording a bit confusing to. You could check out top sellers and see how they keyword and don't forget the blogs they are very useful. As Dienita noted I think I will check my keywording for latin.

Best of Sales to you. Susan

Once again thank you for the welcome and kind words! Also wish everyone success!

Please forgive my ignorance, but how exactly can I change keywords? All I see is reject | suggest.
