Once upon a time, i was exclusive. Not anymore, and no riots or civil disorder happened here. :)
I would recomend thinking thoroughly if being exclusive is REALLY what you want. If so, go ahead. Keep in mind that DT is a very good site, and it has a very good comunity. But it's not the one site that sells more. So, if you dont have time to keep uploading in many more sites, go exclusive. If you have the time, keep your options open.
Just a matter of interest Lfmpereira, what were your stats like once you left Exclusivity? How badly did it affect your image positions etc.. I can imagine you took a dip in revenue for a while until your new uploads on other sites were visible on the search engines.
The image position is affected only by the exclusivity/non-exclusivity flag? I remember a reply from an admin, he said that it is also some kind of rotation, today mine photo is on first pages, next day yours and so on. Hope I remember good...
The main this is T I M E. Some of us have the luxury of extra time to upload and keyword to other sites. I wish I had that time but have decided to stick around as exclusive for know. That way I maximise from my sales, uploads and exposure all at once. Obviously exposure would be better on multiple sites but hey....oh shucks...gotta go...time is up ;-)

Well, first of all, i'm a small fish (very small) in this stock image business, but when i was exclusive i used to sell one image each three days, and i used to make 8 to 15 bucks.
Since i left exclusivity, i started selling something between 40 to 80 images per month, and i make a little more money. It's not enough to become rich or even pay rent, but i prefer it like this.

Confused, 40 80 only here on Dt or total?
Original question still without answer, it seems nobody survive to tell us if coming back to exclusivity is possible :-)
I can see Contributors going with several sites when they have only a couple of hundred images in their port, but Someone like yourself Alvera with nearly a couple of thousand in your portfolio that would be a full time job to transfer all your images.. I have read from so many people that it would only be worthwhile using multiple sites once you have a large port but I just could not imagine the amount of work this would involve. I went exclusive here several months ago once I reached the 50 images required but I do often wonder if I have done the right thing as sales are so erratic. It is like putting all your eggs in one basket!
