Hello from Wisconsin. I was denied a few of my photos for the following reason:
The composition of a successful commercial image needs to be clear and supportive of the image's main concept and primary subject. A good composition is one that does not limit designers' potential usage of the image (for instance, a tight crop). Engaging the classical rules of composition, such as the rule of thirds, the golden ratio or a supportive use of negative space may help you to produce good commercial images. You may visit the Stock Photo Utilities section of our site or the message boards for more information on how to produce stock-oriented images. Please submit only those images from this series that fit the event better. We consider that 3-5 images per event can tell the full story, and by submitting less you will certainly focus on quality (this is always preferred) while covering up an event.
Here is one of the photos I was trying to submitt:
Any information you could give on what I am doing wrong or why it was denied?
Hello and welcome to DT. Your titles (photo 1,2,3,...) and descriptions do not say much about the images and its content, frankly I am surprised that you had got these images approved, as I got some similar rejections with headers much more suitable to the images I had submitted. I think that "fun at the Dye Zone" would be better for the title than photo 18, then the description could be something like "3 people with sunglasses wearing T shirts splashed in colorful paint powder " or whatever that describe the image. Also if the photo is related to an event, you should indicate which one and where. Hope this help .
I'm confused and very new here to this. I thought this was supposed to be a place to blog and use the images for that purpose. there is not a lot of info on here for the people that want to advertise and contribute to the 'advertising' for the photographers if we, as bloggers, aren't sure about what to do, where to go, how to set up the blogs so you get exposure (the photographer) as well as the writer.
