I just wondered how many contributors, have entered an image to Dreamstime, more in hope than confidence. I submitted this image back in June 2012, its nothing special, but I was happy with the catchlight in the Rabbits eye. I almost missed the shot too, but to date its made $42

This image was online since 01/06/2013 and when submitting it we didn't think it would bring good earnings. Till now it has earned $77.30 :))

My best seller is the most common image one could get.
I even thought it would not be accepted, because of the shadows and it was so common.
But the buyers think different...

 Wood texture

This is my bestseller (54 sales for 3 years) which I did not think would be even accepted. It was more or less casual shot and it is quite common subject.

 Interior bar

This image takes 4th place among my bestsellers. I did it in April, 2010. That time I was completely unexperienced in digital photography and saved images in JPEG (no RAWs). Exposition and ISO were choosen absolutely not correctly. Lightnig was just terrible. It was resubmitted 2 or 3 times after lot of exercises with Photoshop (I tried to get noise level and saturation which would be though more or less acceptable). Finally, it was accepted and gave 39 sales by the moment (the last one occured just yesterday) which pernanently makes me to be extremely surprised.

 Moscow Kremlin cityscape

This image takes 5th place among my bestsellers (30 sales for 3.5 years). At shooting it was saved in JPEG. When shooting I did not look for composition and it is the most common view of Moscow (1000+ photograpers dayly make shoots just from this point). I just went through the area and push the buttoon on my camera without even stopping. Till now I can not understand why this image has such considerable success...

   New potatoes

A shot of 'small potatoes'. $114 total! This is the kind of shot that makes newcomers to stock think - "Wow, if that shot can make it to level 5 I'll be a millionaire in no time!". Of course, if it was my only shot and I had low acceptance ratio, etc. I doubt it would have many sales :)

   Christmas Trees Star Sky

One of my early attempts to blend a photo with PhotoShop techniques, the tree props are discards from a department store the rest is a little time in PhotoShop. I was skeptical that the image would be accepted and continually amazed at the sales to date $237.60!

Well guys and gals, after initiating this thread, even at this early stage, the thing that stands out to me with these images is they are well executed, uncomplicated and are not specialised. Perhaps that is the answer to all of our prayers!

I never noticed when I first submitted it that most of the background is blurry, which was okay, but I tried to sharpen parts, but never finished. It's really a bit embarrassing , thought to redo it but not sure if they could replace this one or I'de lose the levels and have to start from level 1

I am surprised with how this image, loaded only one year ago, has already earned $32. I'm surprised even the high demand for space images.

   Enchanted forest
This was taken in Maui in a very beautiful place with lots of interesting trees I tried to capture. None of them was accepted for one reason or another. I did this picture without even thinking, there is this saying one can not see the forest because of the trees or viceversa, I forgot.
Anyway this sold 21 times and made $81
