Here we go live with something you've all been missing for a long time: a mobile app that allows you to check your Dreamstime earnings, sends you sale notifications and most important, allows you to take advantage of the fantastic technology that the current phones pack.
We've just launched the Dreamstime Companion mobile app, which aims at both existing pros in microstock as well as new phonegraphers who create contemporary content all over the world. Our app allows you to submit photographs while on the go, reports your current sales and it's easy with your bandwidth by using offline cache or using just your Wi-Fi. It's using a very easy to submit platform, but it packs up all the powerful main functionalities of the site.
I noted that when you upload images from the app there is only a requirement of 5 keywords where the requirement is normally 10 keywords. Does this mean that the threshold in general will be lowered for images shot with a mobile device? Maybe the requirement for resolution is also lowered?
Windows OS: noted. The requirement for resolution won't be lowered, most mobile phones shoot at least 5mpx images, most shoot even bigger images. The requirement for keywords has been lowered only for the mobile phone app, we recommend you continue to add as many relevant words as possible and not skip this step as it is still very important for search relevancy.
Also, you'll notice categories are not available since we didn't want to slow you down. It is still advised to come back later on the website and submit categories too.
looks good - just a couple bug reports to help you guys out.
If you look at the pending images (images that are not currently under review & where a comment has also been added for the review admin) it says they are submitted to the keyword masters program even though they are not.
Says "Ka-ching! Tap here to redeem your cash" .. but nothing happens and does not redirect to payout options.
oh and on the promo landing page .. https://www.dreamstime.com/stock-photo-mobile-app
I'm a little surprised this hasn't generated more discussion. I love the new app. Thank you Dreamstime! I uploaded my first two mobile images yesterday and both were approved in record time. I think this could be a game changer for mobile stock. Now let's see if they sell . . .
One suggestion, I would love to see ETR for pending images like on the website.
