Free Google Nik Collection

Steveacer
The range of tools in the Nik collection used to cost hundreds of pounds and is now free. Does anyone use it? Is it worth downloading and learning or does if not have anymore to offer than Photoshop?

Thats cool.
I have used Color EFEX often and silver EFEX occasionally as plugins.
Are they available as PS plugins or just standalone from google?

So I installed the package and it seems to work fine, so I uninstalled my old versions of the two plugins I had.
Really though, the two I already had, COLOR EFX and SILVER EFFECTS, are still the two I'd mostly continue to use.
Thanks for the info.

I was just concerned the free version had limitations of some kind, whether in speed or options, but its great. I use some of these a couple of times a day.

Been using Nik Plugins since it came out.For my visible light images I use Veveza and for Infrared I uses Color Efex and Veveza.
For BW Infrared it`s Silver Efex, the 'SC'[selective color]slider is very good but sometimes you may have to run it more than once.
