Dear all,

Yes, we admit it. We underwent a major facelift.
As of today, we're testing a complete re-design of our header and image pages, all seasoned with some additional changes for the advanced search filters and the search result pages. They're now live for part of our users so those who see the new pages, feel free to navigate the brand 'new' pages and let us know how it feels. Let's go, we promise you it will be an easy journey.

To give you some brief details on what we changed, you'll notice for starters that we've separated content into 6 different categories: Photos, Editorial, Illustrations, Videos and Audio, plus a redesigned section for the Free Photos. If you're looking for missing sections and tabs from the late toolbar, you'll find them in the footer.

The new item page puts the content front and center and provides the clients with an improved download experience with as less distraction as possible. The higher resolution preview now serves as comp for quick drag-and-drop use (the higher resolution comps are still available by clicking on the preview image). All in all, we've tried to make the pages look less cluttered, simpler.

The thumbnails are also all improved, with better quality, higher size and smaller memory size. We'll put the remaining size to better use. The new layout also takes into account the larger screens with increased screen resolution that most visitors are now using.

Some of these have already been quietly launched over the last couple of months. The re-design should impact +95% of the website's traffic, with improved page speed, better navigation, cleaner layout. Most of the things you're accustomed to are still in place, we've just revamped them a bit, re-positioned them here and there, compacted some. In other words, we've re-organized things for what we hope to be significantly improved user experience.

Needless to say this has been the result of hard work from our team and we're happy to see things not only in motion but also in action. Last but not least, thank you for inspiring us to improve.

With love,
Still Dreamstime, with a different look

P.S. As usual, with any new launch, there may be bugs or errors which we kindly ask you to report to support. Again, the new design is currently in the testing stage therefore some of you may still see the old design and pages.

The reviewers keep marking images wrong as photographs or illustrations. Has this been fixed? You're going to lose sales if images are in the wrong bucket.

The re-designed site looks very attractive. Uploading and review time improved significantly – thank you very much for this! But view counter has not been working over a week. Some blog posts are also impossible to open from the message board. Hope these are the rough edges of transition time.
