BIO
I have always had a passion for wildlife, with a particular love for reptiles and amphibians. I pursued a Ph.D. in Ecology, which I completed in 2023, which focused on the conservation of forest mammals in anthropogenically modified Afromontane forests in KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa. Currently, I am doing a postdoc that focuses on the impacts predators have on farmlands, with the project also focusing on conducting herp surveys. Wildlife photography is my favorite hobby, having a great interest in photographing all forms of wildlife, with a particular interest in reptiles and amphibians. Through my passion for snakes, I received training in the safe handling of venomous snakes. From this training, I became a registered snake rescuer in my area, whereby I remove snakes from people's property and relocate them to conservation areas, away from people. Many of the snake photos uploaded are from such rescues, performed by either myself or fellow snake rescuers, with the snake immediately being released after the photoshoot. No animals are ever harmed in my adventures, as their well-being and conservation mean everything to me.
