Castel Belfort, though partially in ruins, is still an imposing and eye-catching building. It features an old embattled tower surrounded by wide rectangular outer walls. The castle was built in 1311 by concession of Henry, Count of Tyrol. The key feature of Castel Belfort, which greatly influenced its history, is its location near Spormaggiore, in an area under the jurisdiction of the older castle of Sporo-Rovina, where it was erected to protect the district of Andalo and Molveno. This explains why it changed hands so many times over the centuries, following political arrangements and settlements. The building does not show Medieval features. It rather looks like a modern fortress - an odd result of its reconstruction by Counts Saracini after the fire that devastated the original building in 1670. The Napoleonic occupation and the following changes in ownership contributed to its decline. Declineddecrease stock images, royalty-free photos and pictures

As the Bumble Bee (Bombus) feeds on the nectar of the Blackberry bush flower (Rubus), it also pollinates the plant, the decline of the world's Bumblebee population causes the same concern as the disappearing of Honey Bees as their pollination is of basic importance for the reproduction of 80 per cent of the crops consumed by humans. Built on the site of St Columba`s monastery, Iona Abbey was built by Viking Raghnall in 1200 AD as a centre for Benedictine worship. It fell into decline and ruin during the Reformation but was restored by Reverend George MacLeod and the newly formed Iona Community in 1938. The real Macbeth was King of Scots from 1040, when he killed the ruling king for the throne, until 1057 when he was killed. According to ancient reports, the king was buried on the tiny island of Iona off the western coast of Scotland, alongside many other medieval monarchs laid to rest at Iona Abbey. Iona is also the final resting place for many of the kings of Scotland. The cemetery, Reilig Odhráin, sits just next to the Abbey. It`s reputed to hold the bones of sixty kings. An inventory of 1549 recorded 48 Scottish kings, eight Norwegian Kings and four Irish Kings buried there. Declineddecrease stock images, royalty-free photos and pictures
