It is usually held at the Jacob Javits Convention Center. It usually opens on or just before Easter weekend and closes on the first Sunday after Easter. In 2013 the NYIAS will take place from March 29 through April 7. The Rolls-Royce Wraith made its North American debut at the 2013 New York Auto Show on Wednesday. Rolls-Royce promises the Wraith will be its most-powerful car in the company's 107-year history. BMW purchased the Rolls-Royce brand in 1998. Rolls-Royce Motor Cars Ltd. CEO Torsten Muller-Otvos said North America is the company's No. 1 market, with 3,600 Rolls-Royce vehicles sold so far in 2013. Rolls-Royce revived the Wraith name for its latest model, and, as expected, the vehicle features plenty of style and power. The Wraith has a twin-turbo V12 engine and 624 Brake horsepower, and the company said it can go from 0 to 62 mph in 4.6 seconds and sports 590 pounds of torque. The Wraith also comes equipped with an 8-speed automatic transmission. Its impressive features include a “satellite-aided transmission” that guides the vehicle's GPS system and helps select the proper gears for making turns, the company said. The Wraith's exterior has two-tone paint, while its interior is full of subtle touches, emphasizing luxury including supple leather and wood paneling that complement a voice-activated valet service. Perhaps the Wraith's most-unique feature is its roof's leather lining -- 1,340 fiber optic lights woven in create a “starry night” effect. The car also includes plush carpeting. Rolls-Royce has said it doesn't plan to enter the mass market since all of its cars are meant to be an experience, like the Wraith.

89th Geneva International Motor Show - Mercedes-Benz EQV Van Concept. Fully electric vans aren`t all the rage yet, but Mercedes is trying to change that with its EQV Concept at the Geneva Motor Show. Mercedes promises this concept is going to spawn an extremely similar production vehicle. The specs on the concept are promising, too. The EQV Concept will travel 249 miles on a full charge from its 100 kWh battery pack. It`s capable of charging up to 25 percent in just 15 minutes, providing 62 miles of driving. This van won`t be a speed demon by any measure, as the single electric motor pushes a modest 201 horsepower to the front wheels. Top speed for the big van is 99 mph.

Rolls-Royce promises the Wraith will be its most-powerful car in the company's 107-year history. BMW purchased the Rolls-Royce brand in 1998. Rolls-Royce Motor Cars Ltd. CEO Torsten Muller-Otvos said North America is the company's No. 1 market, with 3,600 Rolls-Royce vehicles sold so far in 2013. Rolls-Royce revived the Wraith name for its latest model, and, as expected, the vehicle features plenty of style and power. The Wraith has a twin-turbo V12 engine and 624 Brake horsepower, and the company said it can go from 0 to 62 mph in 4.6 seconds and sports 590 pounds of torque. The Wraith also comes equipped with an 8-speed automatic transmission. Its impressive features include a “satellite-aided transmission” that guides the vehicle's GPS system and helps select the proper gears for making turns, the company said. The Wraith's exterior has two-tone paint, while its interior is full of subtle touches, emphasizing luxury including supple leather and wood paneling that complement a voice-activated valet service. Perhaps the Wraith's most-unique feature is its roof's leather lining -- 1,340 fiber optic lights woven in create a “starry night” effect. The car also includes plush carpeting. Rolls-Royce has said it doesn't plan to enter the mass market since all of its cars are meant to be an experience, like the Wraith.
